It explains what personal data we collect from consumers, wellness centers, and coaches who use the Platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This policy is drafted in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and role (consumer, coach, or wellness center).

Profile & verification information: for coaches and centers, certifications, business documents, addresses, and bank/payout details submitted for admin approval.

Enquiry information: the Platform is a lead generation service. When you enquire about a retreat, program, or coach, we collect your contact details, preferred dates, and any message you include, and pass this on to the relevant wellness center or coach so they can respond directly. We do not process payments or collect card details on the Platform; any payment for a retreat or session is arranged directly between you and the provider.

Usage information: pages visited, device/browser type, IP address, and approximate location, collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools (see our Cookie Policy).

Communications: messages you send us via contact forms, support requests, or email.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and verify coach/center applications.
  • To route your enquiries to the relevant wellness center or coach and notify you of their response.
  • To send enquiry confirmations, approval status updates, and service-related notifications.
  • To respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
  • To improve the Platform, prevent fraud, and maintain security.
  • To send marketing communications where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and consumer protection requirements.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With wellness centers/coaches you enquire with, to the extent needed for them to respond to your enquiry.
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf, including cloud hosting (Supabase), email delivery (Brevo), and analytics (Google Analytics), each bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons, to comply with a court order or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Travel Yogis, our users, or the public.
  • In a business transfer: if Travel Yogis is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide our services, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations (including statutory retention periods under Indian tax and consumer-protection law). You may request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

5. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Withdraw consent for processing (e.g. marketing emails) at any time.
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
  • File a complaint with our Grievance Officer (below) or the Data Protection Board of India.
